Dinner Conversation

Last night one of Rachel's friends, just home from a year in China as a nurse, came over for dinner. Andrew and his new wife, on their way to Ethiopia, were there, too. During the course of dinner there were discussions about condom manufacturers in China exporting the quality products and leaving the rejects for local use, eating pig uterus after an abortion, child brides and female circumcision in Ethiopia, Oprah Winfrey's fistula hospital in Addis Ababa, and defacto polygamy in Latin America. Oh, and don't forget the report that the girlfriend of the young man Rachel sent to prison was not only a new mother, she was also a stripper.

What ever happened to "Dear, how was your day at the office"?

I have a feeling that "Dear, how was your day at the office" isn't really your cup of tea. ;-D

Thanks for stopping by. Are you the mother of AndyMack? I see his name on Justin's blog. BTW, tell Justin it is time to update. And to talk about something besides cars. :-)

You're right--I don't need to ask about his day at the office, since it is my office too!

Yes, I am blessed to be the mother of AndyMack, as well as his younger brother MattyMack and their older brother Jonathan, who has also blessed us with two grandsons.
I enjoy your blog because we are also empty nesters (with one birdie temporarily back), and we also served as missionaries (eight years at a school for deaf children in Puerto Rico), and I now work as a project editor with a Christian (self) publishing company. However, it does feel a bit odd to be keeping up to date on a stranger's life...
Did you know that Justin got a new job---selling cars? So I think your hopes for a carless blog are sadly out the window... ;-D
