Blind Dates

Yes, I can say that's what I have--since my husband is legally blind. His disability is annoying at times, like when he doesn't notice that I lost 5 lbs. But, you know, he also doesn't notice if I gain 5 lbs. either. Yay! It is great to be loved unconditionally :)

Speaking of blind dates, I set up a couple of my young friends on one. I hope they don't end up hating me for it.

My husband never notices when I lose (or gain) weight either, but he isn't blind. He is deaf. He doesn't hear when/if I snore or burp or any other unladylike thing. We don't have to tiptoe around the house or keep the noise down when he is sleeping. And with sign language we have a "secret" (mostly) language that comes in very handy at times, especially in a crowd. Of course his deafness can be annoying too, but he definitely excels in loving unconditionally, and for that I am very thankful. Oh yeah, we met on a blind date. ;-D
