I'm an Oaf

Today I discovered a Walmart gift card from last Christmas. See, it pays to clean out your wallet at least once a year.

You might wanna check and see if it's still viable. Some gift cards expire if not used within a year.

You've got a point. I did use it to buy something for $1.28, but that means I still have a little left to spend very soon!

The worst part of using it is having to go into WalMart :) The whole experience always feels a bit like a zoo to me, starting with the parking lot. And then, our Walmart always seems to be out of stock of what I go in there for, and the employees consistently tell me it will be coming in "tomorrow". I try to brave it anyway, just to restock my gift card, as we get 3 cents off/gallon at the gas station beside it if we use a Walmart gift card.
Funny enough, considering how much I now try to avoid Walmart, when we lived in Dallas about 14 years ago, the Arlington Hypermart was the biggest store I'd ever seen. And the first 24 hour one. Whenever my family came to visit, we'd always do two things, which were exciting for us raised-in-the-sticks people: (1) Go shopping at the Hypermart at some ridiculous hour of the night and (2) Eat at CiCi's Pizza, which was the first all-you-can-eat pizza buffet we'd ever known of.

Well, happy spending your Gift Card!

I remember that Hypermart. It's been gone a long time now. CiCi's is still here, but I don't like their pizza very well.
