Monk Parakeet

I almost got clobbered by the giant JAARS truck yesterday when, halfway across the street, I involuntarily looked up in response to a loud and unfamiliar sound. I managed to force myself to finish crossing the street before pulling my binoculars out of my work bag--four Monk Parakeets on the electric wires.
