Anyways, you are where you're at in life because of your fortune to be born in this country, the upbringing your parents have provided, and not the least reason - your own choices in life. I don't think you should feel bad about having it good, as none of those seem reason to be ashamed about.
What you say is true, at least to a large degree. But there are too many counter examples of people who also have been born here, have good parents, and have made good choices themselves--and still they suffer.
Or maybe I'm just feeling guilty for not feeling enough compassion for those who do suffer.
